Logan Andress
Community Director
Logan has worked in the field of developmental disabilities for over 20 years. A graduate of Kent State University, with a degree in Justice Studies, Logan began work in the juvenile court system, where kids with disabilities began to be his calling card. Upon leaving that job, he moved into the residential field, working for a provider in Ashland County, supervising seven congregate locations, and some drop-in services as well.
Logan left Ashland County to move to Cleveland, taking a job as Program Director with REM-Ohio. There, he oversaw ICF and waiver programs, both congregate and drop-in services, and opened a new day program in Highland Heights, Ohio.
It was at this time, that Logan and his wife had the birth of their son and Logan decided to leave residential work and became Staff Development and Recruitment Specialist for New Avenues to Independence, writing training manuals, providing many different elements of training to work done across multiple counties and locations, while serving as a Human Resources representative in recruiting, training, grievance and disciplinary measures.
After a year in that role, New Avenues offered Logan a chance to become Director over their entire waiver services program and the children’s program, managing the program across five counties and with a multi-million dollar budget.
Logan left New Avenues to become ICF Director for Rose-Mary and then to Midwest Health Services, where he opened two new day programs for adults with developmental disabilities and oversaw services across three counties.
Logan is a 2017 ADVANCE Leadership Program graduate and has been recognized within multiple counties for his work and dedication to the field. Logan lives in Lyndhurst with his wife (Sara), son (Brendan), dog (Macie) and multiple fish. In his spare time, Logan serves as President of Lyndhurst Dads’ Club, a local non-profit dedicated to offering baseball and softball opportunities to kids in Northeast Ohio.
