An eight-year journey took a giant step forward as Solon Community Living (SCL) held its groundbreaking ceremony on June 7, with founders Ara and Leslie Bagdasarian, who started the organization in an effort to find care for their two adult children with disabilities, moving the dirt to mark the start of building a pocket community in Solon that will house their adult children and twelve others.

Solon Community Living officially broke ground on its residential community for adults with developmental disabilities June 7 at 6655 Clearwater Court in Solon – a process that began eight years ago when Ara and Leslie Bagdasarian founded the organization in 2015.
The Rotary Club of Solon’s annual Night At the Races on Saturday was a winning trifecta for the organization, offering a night of entertainment for the sold-out crowd of 150 and fundraising for the Solon Community Living project and a pediatric emergency wing in a Pakistan hospital.
