Solon Community Living’s Resident Assistant Program Benefits Many

From Chagrin Valley Times By Michele Collins Solon Community Living (SCL) offers a groundbreaking living arrangement for adults with disabilities in Solon, made up of 14 apartments for residents, with on-site caregiving staff living in the community. But the SCL also offers a unique opportunity for college and graduate students to learn about caring for those with disabilities through a program, called the Resident Assistant program. These brand new apartments, situated in a planned community for adults with disabilities, is a first for Solon, and really, for the nation. Community Prepares to Open Doors to Special-Needs Adults

From Cleveland.com Ed Wittenberg Special to Sun News Project is the first of its kind in Northeast Ohio with caregiver suites. Ara Bagdasarian, president and co-founder of Solon Community Living, stands in front of the newly constructed clubhouse, which will be part of the community’s pocket neighborhood near Aurora Road and Portz Parkway in Solon. Solon Year in Review: Emotions Run the Gamut for Solon Residents in 2023

Sadly, when looking back on 2023 in Solon, many thoughts go to those who were lost. The 11-year-old son of a city councilman, two brothers, a popular teacher, a father/coach, and a man tragically attacked by a family member passed away this year.
